Food Drive A Success

The First State Bank of Campbell Hill, along with branch locations exceeded its goal of 2000 canned & non-perishable food items collected during the 2nd Annual “Stuff the Turkey” Food Drive by collecting 2300 items during the month of November.  The First State Bank of Campbell Hill made a matching donation of items making a grand total of 4600 items donated to the local food pantries located in Ava, Steeleville, Coulterville, and Cutler.  Items were collected by each location making their own turkey and asking customers & employees to make a contribution.  Students from Trico, Steeleville, St. Mark’s & Coulterville Elementary Schools were able to get in on the drive as well by participating in FSB’s coloring contest.  Thanksgiving coloring sheets were distributed to the students, if they returned their coloring sheet to one of FSB’s three locations they were entered into a prize drawing, if they returned the sheet with a food item their name was entered twice in the drawing.  Winners were drawn at the end of the month and received U.S. Mint Proof Sets.
